Our house is well
equipped to receive small groups (families/friends) of 6-8 persons.
Traveling through Europe ,
exploring the Netherlands (Holland) and only 48 miles of Amsterdam-airport
(Schiphol/AMS) we offer a comfortable place to stay, quiet-relaxed and
very easy to find,.
Amerongen is
beautifully situated at the foot of the Utrecht hillridge, the nature reserve
N.P. “de Utrechtse heuvelrug”, and on the other side our village borders the old
river Rhine. Just 5 minutes walking from our B&B you will find Amerongen-castle
as well as some good and cosy restaurants, so you can leave your car at our
private parking place. Our N.P. has a lot of walks, cycle roads and mountain
bike roads. Golf is at 9 km.
Accommodation
We have 3 standard double-bedrooms, with double and single beds. We have a special bathroom for our guests and 2 toilet rooms.
The Master's Bedroom:- Occasionally for at least half a week or longer we have the master’s bed-room and connected to a private bathroom-ensuite also available. This bedroom is equipped with a double bed and TV and the bathroom has a jacuzzi-bath, shower, washstand and private toilet.
Facilities:-
centrally heated, non-smoking, Guest parking place available. We do offer a nice
guest- and breakfast room with cable-TV (by ex. For watching the CNN or
BBC-news). Evenings-too you can make use of it or sit outside on the garden
terrace. On demand we provide you here with drinks like coffee/tea/ milk/
refreshing drinks/beer/wine.
Within the entire house smoking is not allowed, only outside.
We do not have pets neither allow pets as other guests might be allergic to them.
Breakfast:- is served between 6.00 and 9.00 a.m. Breakfast room closes at 9.30 and on Sundays at 10.00 a.m. We serve a continental breakfast, including fruit juice, boiled eggs, cheese and different types of bread.
Lunch:- on demand we supply the ingredients for a complete luncheon package at €.4 a-person
Dinner:- Our village and nearby area
is known for some excellent restaurants of different style. At only 5 minutes
walking distance from our house, within the old center- some good and cosy
restaurants can highlight your stay in Amerongen.
Additional facilities on demand
(against fair charge):
Internetting as there is no internet café nearby we offer you a possibility
through our office PC. We have a broadband internet connection.
Laundry:-
if you like, we can wash and dry your clothes (24
hour-service) but like to know this in advance.
Information
Many families with children and adults/grownups specially come to visit this world-famous "de Efteling" attractionparc, but also the Burger's bush /zoo, the Delta-works protecting us against the sea, the bulb flower fields, Marurodam minature-country, the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk are very worthwhile. Our North sea-shore with the the sandy beaches is well-known. Climbing high church towers overlooking the lowland or making canal rides in Utrecht, Amsterdam or Delft. Canoeïning on one of our rivers or lakes, renting bicycles to make daytrips in our nice surroundings. Lots of cycle roads and to begin at our B&B, by ex. through the beautiful woods of our N.P. or along the Rhine-river to WijkbijDuurstede and Doorn castle-area. Veenedaal shopping arcade is just 8 km. cycling of our house.
Tariff
Our standard room price varies:-
between €.52 and €.60 depending of number of nights, number of persons and season, in average €.56.1 full week only €.1050,- !! and 3 nights just €.475,-
Master Bedroom:- This room costs €.110,- a-night, with a minimum stay of 3 nights. Without use of the Jacuzzi-bath €.95.
All our rates include: a good breakfast, daily fresh towels, and tourist tax.
