All rooms have been recently refurbished (2003) with a rolling program of maintenance and improvement. There are 14 rooms on two floors, all equipped with: -

Breakfast:- Each and every morning,
between 08:30 and 10:30, a buffet style breakfast is available in our breakfast
room. Our breakfast can if you prefer taken in the shaded fresh morning air on the veranda
or outside on the
patio.

Garden Bar:- Set amidst lush green grass and exotic flowers, our garden bar is open each afternoon and evening. Here you can relax in the fresh air, meet other guest, make new friends or just sit and watch the day slide into a warm and welcome evening. We serve a variety of beers, spirits, soft drinks and exotic cocktails with a special cocktail on offer each evening
Information
From the airport you can take a taxi or hire a car to Keramoti port, which is situated 15 minutes away. The approximate journey time across on the (car) ferry is 40 minutes. There are also flights from abroad to Thessaloniki. Thessaloniki is the second biggest city in Greece and it is about 165 km away from Kavala.
From Thessaloniki you can hire a car or you can take the bus. The journey to Kavala lasts 2 ½ hours. As you reach Kavala you can take the (car) ferry to Prinos (1h and 20min journey) or by flying dolphin, (foot passengers only) to Thassos Town (45min journey). Once you reach Thassos Town you can get to the Kamelia Hotel either by taxi, by bus or by car hire. It takes about 15min. The roads are good and the views magnificent
There are excellent bus services which run every day, one of which follows the coast road for 100 km. all the way around the Island. The island is suitable for the ones who like to walk, as there are many paths. The largest mountain is called Ipsarion. It is 1204m. high and is accessible for those walkers with a strong constitution. There are a lot of beaches around the Island, for example, Skala Potamias, Golden Beach, Paradise Beach, Aliki, Tripiti and many others.
Places to visit
In Thassos Town (Limenas) there are many archaeological sites to visit like the
Acropolis of Thassos, the ancient theatre where a festival takes place every
summer.
In the village of Potamia you can visit the museum of Polignotos Vagis. He was a
famous Thassian sculptor.
A short way past Aliki Beach there is a big monastery dedicated to The Archangel
Michael from where the views to the sea are fantastic.
Every Monday morning there is a large and colourful open market at Prinos. If
you wish you can see the island from a boat there are trips which run mainly
from Thassos Town.
You can also visit areas away from the island like Kavala (the Emerald
City), Xanthi (exotic and very eastern), Phillipi (massive ruins originally
build by Alexander’s Dad), Thermal Springs and extensive, well marked, areas of
archeological interest.
